We are using seo tools found at http://xtreammembers.com/seo.html in class and then the attendees will download and use the webceo desktop seo tool outside of the webinar.

Thursday we focused on seeing where our websites rank. We used the page rank analyzer http://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/keyword-position.html as a quick look into our placement in three search engines: Google, Yahoo, and Live.

We then asked the question:

Is my webpage search engine friendly?

To find out the answer, we used a free online seo meta tag analyzer, http://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/metatag-analyzer.html

This tool looks at four main elements: Title, Description, Keywords, and Author and in another section analyzes keyword density and then the number of urls listed on the page itself. It gives you a good, solid, platform in which to use to get your site search engine friendly. Webceo gives you an even more indepth look at your webpage and gives even more detailed suggestions.

After looking at whether our overall website was considered search engine friendly, we then looked at whether or not our web sites where actually optimized for the key word or key words we where in fact targeting. For this we used http://www.seocentro.com/tools/seo/page-keyword-analyzer.html.

This free seo tool reports on 5 main elements: title, description, first H tag, body, domain name. Many of us found that we do not have the H tag. Most scripts as well as web design pages do not use H tags, so you have to manually add those yourselves. This is very easy to do by simply going into your cpanel and opening the html editor for whatever page it is you need to add the code to. The H code you need to add below the head tag and the title tag in the html of your webpage is found at http://xtreammembers.com/seo.html as that code interfers with this blog post.

While you are at it, you might as well add in these additional tags also. To get those tags please go to http://xtreammembers.com/seo.html as that code interfers with this blog post.

As Vern pointed out in session, if you are in the practice of updating your website frequently, you can in fact change the Revisit-after to a smaller interval. On the flip side, if you do NOT make frequent changes, you may want to bump that number up.

Note to those using the Amcs traffic exchange scripts, pt-scripts, and possibly other scripts as well. You will find that these scripts do not properly configure the meta tags. I have a support question into Glen at Amcs on this. You can, however, add the H1 tag through Admin by going to your Front Page and adding in the code listed above. On the pt-scripts we will have to figure that out on our own as there is no longer anyone home for support on these.

The Traffic Report:
Hit Hornet and Rose Bud traffic exchanges may be down a bit Sunday as they migrate to a new server.

Hint: On the AMCS sites like Majestic Surf, Auto Magic, Work Digital Traffic, Olympic Gold and etc, if you can’t remember to get back in to an exchange after you add a site for approval, set your account to Auto Add Credits! Works like a charm every time.

On the AMCS exchanges, if your site remains unapproved by Admin for more than 24 hours - it is because you have not surfed the requisite number of sites. Please surf so Admin can approve your sites.

Also, members who do not surf in 20 days are set to inactive. Sites are deactivated until you log in and surf again.

Xtream Member Checklist: Get organized continued! As you download the digital products from your back office, create a text document or spreadsheet for yourself which you will keep notes on. You created folders on your desktop to organize your downloads. Now, as you look at each one, make notes as to what your rights are, what kind of resource it is, and how you use it.
There are all kinds of downloads. Some are desktop utilities, some are enhancements to websites, some are articles or other types of information. Some downloads have sales pages you need to upload to your domain if you choose to do so. There are scripts and software. You OWN all this stuff so make yourself some type of record on what everything is!
Also, really important: say your computer crashes…. heaven forbid it does. Back this stuff up. Make copies. At the very least back up your document files that contains your notes. We do highly recommend you make copies of your downloads because - say 5 years from now you lose everything and have stopped your subscription with Xtream - you can recover all your stuff. Remember, the digital downloads are YOURS FOREVER. Back em up baby. (There is an Elvis Song in there somewhere.)

As mentioned yesterday, the main point is to get organized from the very beginning otherwise you will end up with 5,000 downloads and no idea what they are all used for. Xtream Member Checklist: Get organized! Yesterday we mentioned It really helps to create a text doc or spread sheet that lists all the venues you have joined, your referral and affiliate links, log in links and log in information.

For your digital products, create a main folder on your desktop you call My Downloads (or something like that.) Within that folder, create sub folders and save your downloads in those sub folders. It is useful to sort items by their function or use. If it is an item you upload to your website that is an enhancement, like a counter script, you may want to save that to a folder called Website Enhancement. If it is a PLR item, in a folder called PLR, or Giveaway, or what ever.

Main point is to get organized from the very beginning otherwise you will end up with 5,000 downloads and no idea what they are all used for. Lol. Remember, most of the digital products you find in the Xtream Digital Library comes with rights. They can be resell rights, or giveaway rights. Some of them are even re-brandable to you. Read what you can and cannot do with each digital product. Most of the products with resell rights come with their own reseller website or template you upload to your own domain. Xtream has acquired some very new digital products with fresh content. We are in the process of uploading them to our server so we can then get them into the Digital Library. We hope to get a little further along on adding the newest digital products to the Library over the week end.

Building Blocks is quite a bit further along in updating the programs in the back office. As you join the xtream and network partner sites you will want to get into Blocks and add your referral id. Once you do this, when someone joins Blocks under you they will see YOUR referral link and will join the programs listed under you. If you do not replace the default id with yours, the member will be joining under the default rather than your affiliate link.

Xtream Member Checklist: Get organized! It really helps to create a text doc or spread sheet that lists all the venues you have joined, your referral links, log in links and log in information. Having all that information in one place is very useful - especially if something happens to your computer and you lose all your favorites or groups. Save that document or spread sheet to a disk as well. It never hurts to have more than one back up.

  Xtream Members: Xtream Members has added in a Monthly Pro Subscription. This is for members who do not want the One-Time-Offer to upgrade their subscription to Pro, or those who wait until after 30-days to then upgrade.
  The One-Time-Offer that allows regular subscribers to upgrade their regular Subscription to the Pro Level for one fee of $97.00. The OTO is good for only 30-days after a member subscribes to Xtream. Normally, a one-time-offer is good only once upon sign up. However, Xtream will allow regular members to upgrade with the OTO Pro for 30-days after subscribing.
  Very Important: You must keep your $9.95 subscription in place, even after the upgrade. All the OTO does is upgrade your subscription, it does not replace the subscription. Do NOT cancel your Regular Member subscription. You will have 2 accounts, one for the Pro OTO and one for the regular monthly or annual subscription.
  Create your OTO upgrade by choosing that option on http://www.xtreammembers.com/members/payment_options.php Sign up using the same First and Last Name you used to set up your Regular member subscription. You will need to use a different email address.
  Once you upgrade to Pro on the one-time-offer, log into your Pro account . You can then access the full library. Use the Pro Account Affiliate link to promote Xtream with. This is the account in which commissions go to the 85% level.
  Again, you must keep your $9.95 subscription in place to keep your account with Xtream. If you cancel your subscription after you upgrade it with the one-time-offer, ALL your accounts will be terminated when your original subscription tries to renew.
  After 30 days, if a Regular member chooses to become a Pro, you will need to do so on the Pro Subscription option. You will no longer be able to upgrade to Pro on the One-time-offer.
